Analyzing engineering proposals, process requirements, and related technical data pertaining to industrial machinery and equipment design. Work closely with Design Engineering in planning production methods for new and revised products. Preparing Engineering documents APQP, FEMA, MSA, SPC and PPAP. Metallurgical Support at the development and Failure analysis.

Responsible for component Materials & Metallurgical aspects for all departments- Chassis, suspension, Transmission, Brakes, Body. Assisting designers for material selection, heat treatment, surface treatment and drawing approvals from Materials perspective. Having overall responsibility for the customer and internal program team interface from concept design through full manufacturing launch.

Researching and developing ideas for new product development. Report to top management on the performance of the QMS and any need for improvement. Assisting in setting the rolling parameters like: – Pass Schedule, finishing temperature, cooling temperature to achieve the required Metallurgical Mechanical properties, Physical properties. Breakdown analysis, gap analysis, abnormality mapping for production machines and its problem solving to improve efficiency of manufacturing equipment.

Design and Development of Small Arms. Responsible for the design, development and implementation of custom mechanical tooling, fixturing, and associated processes to enable the handling, assembly and/or disassembly of parts, components, sub-assemblies and final assemblies throughout the product life cycle. Work with team on Root Cause Analysis (RCA) of quality issues and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA), implementation of Poka-Yoke if necessary.

Metallurgical Quality Control lab handling. Regular Production processed parts- Forged & Heat treated as per customer standards & specifications. Components include- Crankshafts, Front axle beams, Knuckles & other forged components which are Heat treated- Control cooled, Normalized, Full hardening, Induction hardening & tempering.
