My work concentrates on the computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analysis of the process parameters of a tubular reactor equipped with static mixers. The influence of variables such as viscosity, density, flow rate ratio on mixing length was therefore deeply analysed, in order to allow to lead a discontinuous process in a continuous way. In fact, this solution allows to solve security issues related to the transitory conduction of large hold-up equipment.

Bachelor thesis had the purpose to study how to reduce the emission of pollutants from engines of diesel cars (most of the work was carried out in the laboratory, thus I had much experience in the laboratory work including the cleaning and maintenance of the reactor and machine).
