I am currently looking for a job in the area of Charleston WV to the east, Columbus, OH or Indiannapolis, IN to the north, Evansville, IN to the west, or Nashville or northern TN to the south. and I am seeking a position in which I can use my networking and security knowledge to help improve the network of a company who realizes the importance of this asset. I have been CCNA certified, and have a wide range of experience with management, design, build, admin, security and disaster recovery.

I was one of a team of 5 engineers hired to perform an IOS upgrade, and build, test and implement a QOS build for Charter’s CPE switches which were Cisco ME-3400’s.

– I was part of a team who does tier 3 support for CSC and its customers. We are in charge of network support including design, build, and troubleshooting of routers, switches, firewalls, and proxies for all networks of CSC and their customers.

Primary duties are maintenance of the IBM/AT&T Discover account in Columbus, OH and Dallas, TX. I work in Columbus and have the capability to remotely work in Dallas. I am involved at present in a core upgrade which involves writing config files for Columbus and Dallas redundant core routers and switches (6506s and 6509s), doing the physical build, install the config files, test, and put into production the new routers and switches. I also work on other accounts, when time is available, and other people in

Network admin/security/maintenance for office network. Research, evaluate and advise Electrical Professional Engineers about the IP aspects of carrier equipment for ILECs who are this company’s customers. This included research, and direction on which vendor’s equipment to utilize for each customer’s triple play (voice, video, and data) needs.

Designed, built, configured, installed and tested, security, maintenance of Cisco routers (1700-7200 series), 2900-6500 series switches, Pix and ASA firewalls and VPN devices for GE ConsInd which controls 3/5 of the network for GE which was approximately 4500 devices. As such was intimately involved in the security of said devices. Was involved in the mandatory upgrade of all Cisco gear in February and March 2007.

I was lead engineer for the team who was responsible for monitoring network activity, and when alarms sounded ensuring the backups were up and passing traffic, and then troubleshooting the primary circuit. When needed we involved the company’s senior engineers and/or the carriers.
