Paulo Nonaka

Headquartered in Belo Horizonte (Brazil), Devs Up is a startup that offers everything from application development, to management and consulting in the deployment process. The company is specialized in agile methodologies, with experience in web (Ruby On Rails) and mobiles (Android and iOS).

Worked in the web part of a multi-plataform app and also developed part of the Android app. I led the backend development, being challenged with architectural problems, developing a new product to be launched soon in the market. We followed agile development process (Scrum), with practices such as TDD (Cucumber, RSpec) and Continuous Delivery (Jenkins) in a distributed team (Brazil/San Fracisco), where I could work abroad for 7 weeks in the Silicon Valley.

Worked with Ruby, NoSQL Mongo, Redis developing a RESTful based web store and a guide for leisure in São Paulo for Editora Abril. Also worked with JS, HTML5, CSS3, Backbone.js and Jasmine.js for IBA’s readers for tablets. We followed agile development process with practices such as TDD (Cucumber, RSpec) and Continuous Delivery in a distributed team (Brazil/India), where I could work abroad for 5 weeks.

Development of Android applications later installed in the whole fleet of police cars in the state of São Paulo / Brazil through tablets. Also worked with Flex and Java to develop web systems for vehicle tracking.

Worked for the State Department of Finance of Minas Gerais with Java EE and Oracle. Also worked for Fiat Group AutoMobiles with C# and SQL Server.

Worked in academic systems with the technologies PHP and C# with Oracle and SQL Server.
