A combination of updating, debugging, developing control and surveillance software components. Often in close cooperation with developers and domain specialists from the customer. The software components monitor and controls different physical entities and ensure safety for the hardware structure and service personnel. Development of an environment that supports written exams where the students use their own laptops and at the same time minimize the possibility of cheating. Placed as an external consultant and worked on a large middleware framework for distributed realtime control. It concerned the core functionality supplied on top of the operating system (VxWorks), including sharing of variables between hardware nodes, basic functionality for attaching and running components, and message distribution between components (at different nodes). The overall project was development of a customized Linux distribution for use in telephone management systems. Extending and supporting the functionality of the the Service Tool, which is a desktop application for monitoring, controlling and configuring the AK2-controller system. Implemented a number of updates and fixed bug for the HMI of a service tool used by Danfoss Refrigeration. The product model views are defined in XML. Made a port from C to Java of a (de)compiler for a binary data format, which defines graphical templates in an embedded device. The hardware device used by Danfoss Refrigeration to monitor alarms from other embedded devices. Also made the business logic and GUI for editing the templates in an existing desktop application.
