Areas of responsibility: 2007: FairMarket, an e-commerce platform offering private marketplaces for eBay customers. 2006: Content lifecycle system for eBay’s auction site content. User registration and verification flows for worldwide auction sites. 2001-2005: International auction site launches, and support of international projects. International revenue now accounts for almost 50% of eBay’s total revenue.

Design and implementation of internationalization/localization framework for eBay’s large-scale, multi-tiered, high-volume, highly available auction platform. Lead developer for first international company merge & acquisition. Contributor to the first version of eBay’s 3rd party developer API.

OO design and development of a middleware client/server product for workload balancing. Worked with several clients developing critical business application code. Certified IBM MQSeries Specialist/Certified IBM MQSeries Solutions Expert/Sun Certified Java Programmer 1.1

International project work on IBM’s speech recognition products (IBM Speech Server Series, IBM Personal Dictation System, IBM VoiceType product family, IBM ViaVoice, IBM Medspeak/Radiology). Main technical contact for 3rd party developers of speech applications for EMEA region.

Re-engineered a nationwide monthly information system for branch savings banks, improving turnaround time from 5 days to 1 day. Completed smart card security solution for access control. Installed solution at customer site and trained users.

Designed and developed information and indexing system for pharmacies’ logistics, improving run time of database batch application from 5 hours to ten minutes.
