Responsible to coordinate all aspects of the new web portal for the company's entering into the online world. the objective was to be the next eBay and Yahoo of the 2000's. I managed a budget of 1 million USD to create the web portal, and through the IPO process. The company was hit at the beginning of the dot com bust and it was a great experience to see the exuberance and the fast return to reality of those times.

I was hired to develop and run what I thought, and was sold as, a promising company - bringing in dozens of great professionals from my network. I managed sales and marketing, achieving growth in sales and delivery of events in Las Vegas, Chicago, Amsterdam, but In the end it did not work out as I planned. It was an interesting experience in the midst of the dot com boom.
I was chosen to lead a one-year project to define the European marketing best practices and then train all the marketing teams within Oracle to increase its efficiency and have more sharing of successful practices. In parallel, I was acting marketing manager of Oracle Switzerland and member of the country management team.
I was asked to start Oracle Africa with two other colleagues. in three years, we grew revenues from 100k $ to 15 million $, with huge profitability, and great expansion of the team. it was also lots of fun and great experiences, including interaction at the highest level of local governements!
I was asked to start from zero the marketing in the french-speaking area of Switzerland (Geneva-Lausanne, etc. area) for Oracle. We had great successes in proportion to the budgets available du to high teamwork and creativity. We were noticed by corporate and were highly commended. It was a great first full time job!
