Project: Endotracheal tube monitoring system in Low-Resource Settings. (Completed) Abstract: Proper placement of an endotracheal tube and then monitoring its position over time is challenging. We proposed a simple, low-cost, and sensitive system based on optical fiber, LED, two photodetectors along with operational amplifiers, and Arduino board with a LabVIEW program to monitor the position of the endotracheal tube inside the windpipe.
