Collaboration project with Adolphe Merkle Institute (Fribourg, CH) to optimize development, synthesis and characterization of hydrophilic Polyurethane (HPU) membranes for biosensors produced by Roche Diagnostics International for detection and quantification of metabolites in blood.

Master Thesis project for Roche Diagnostics International Ltd. as an intern in the Blood Gas & Electrolytes (BGE) Development department. The project focuses on chemical as well as physical modifications of polymeric membranes on a nano/micro scale for improved Ion Selective Electrode (ISE) sensor performances.

Synthesis and development of polymeric nanocapsules for protection and enhanced stability of labile compounds such as Enzymes. Project developed in the Nanoteam of Prof. Dr. Uwe Pieles of the Fachhochschule Nordewestschweiz, under the supervision of PhD Sina Saxer.

Master Thesis grade: 5.7/6; Overall grade: 5.2/6. Master Degree in Molecular Technologies, with a particular focus on Nanotechnology, Material Science and modification of polymeric surfaces for biomedical as well as industrial applications.

Grade: 102/110. Bachelor Degree in Chemistry covering a broad variety of subjects. Bachelor Thesis focused on Polymer Chemistry and Nanotechnology for biomedical applications, in particular devices for controlled drug delivery.
