Work as a lifeguard at an outdoor swimming pool in Munich during summer season, responsible for ensuring the safety of swimmers, monitoring pool areas, and performing first aid in emergency cases.

Working student during master's studies. Supported automated workflows in clinical diagnostics (clinical chemistry, hematology, and transfusion medicine). Prepared and handled patient samples and operated diagnostic instruments, following SOP-based procedures in an accredited environment.

Processed clinical samples and prepared bacteria cultures in a microbiology diagnostic lab. Handled specimens, operated automated systems, and ensured accurate documentation, quality control, and sterile workflow (S1/S2) according to GLP and SOP guidelines.

Intern in a microbial diagnostics lab. Introduced to routine microbiology workflows. Assisted with sample reception and preparation, operated laboratory equipment, and supported culture setup in a sterile environment while gaining hands-on experience in clinical lab procedures.

Two-year vocational training as Biological Technical Assistant (BTA). This education provides comprehensive practical and theoretical knowledge in equal parts, covering the following areas: molecular biology, biochemistry, microbiology, plant physiology, and inorganic, organic, physical, and analytical chemistry. Practical training covered biochemical assays, molecular biology workflows, basic cell culture, inorganic and analytical chemistry techniques, and preparation of reagents and buffers.

Training in molecular and cellular biology. Focus on molecular genetics and bioinformatics, including transcriptional regulation, genome analysis, and computational methods (Python, statistics, ML). Thesis: "Large-scale Investigation of DNA Methylation Changes’ Impact on Alternative Splicing". Integrated WGBS and RNA-seq data from the International Human Epigenome Consortium (IHEC) and explored epigenomic regulation of splicing using Python-based machine learning and statistical models.

Comprehensive education in biology (biochemistry, molecular biology, genetics) and chemistry (analytical, physical, biomolecular), with a personal focus on molecular genetics and bioinformatics. Thesis in the department of bioinformatics. Title: ”Using Read-SpaM to estimate phylogenetic distances between primates from ancient DNA short reads”. Inferred phylogenies from high-throughput DNA sequencing data using assembly- and alignment-free computational methods.

Foundational theoretical and practical education in mathematics, physics, physical chemistry, inorganic and organic chemistry. Switched to Biochemistry to pursue my interest in molecular sciences.
