I have worked as a Post-doctoral research associate and contributed to metastasis research on single disseminated tumor cells (DTCs) using mainly array CGH.

As a Postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Cardiovascular Genetics I was responsible for the investigation of the role of genetic factors on the development of Thoracic Aortic Aneurysms At the same time I was working as a Research Associate and teaching Molecular Genetics to the MSc and PhD students of Cyprus School of Molecular Medicine (a sister organization of CING.

I was working as a DNA Scientist for the Committee for Missing Persons in order to identify the Cypriots who went missing in Cyprus during 1963-1974. The genetic identification process was accomplished at the Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics, Department of Cardiovascular Genetics.

I was working as a Project Coordinator on a cancer awareness project funded by EU for Cancer Research Foundation (CRF), North Cyprus. My duties included grant application, project execution, team leading, budget, statistical analysis and report writing

My PhD thesis was titled as; Effect of neonatal Nav1.5 sodium channel expression on human breast cancer metastasis The study was achieved in collaboration with Imperial College, London GPA:4/4

My MSc thesis was titled as; Association of PMP22 Duplication / Deletion in CMT using FISH I learned the FISH technique at the Friedrich Alexander Universität, Erlangen, Institut für Humangenetik during July-September 2000.
