Project management and Transmission calibration engineer
General Motors- Project management for calibration program: Responsible to coordinate the supplier tasks, parts delivery, requirements. - Calibrator leader for automatic transmission. shift pattern calibration, calibration coordination, interface with engine calibration, global GM requirements, work with GM worldwide (USA, Korea, Australia, Germany); - AMT calibration engineer: 3 different programs, working and sharing responsibilities with two suppliers (LuK and Mangeti Marelli); - INCA and Helios; - C++ reading.
- Clutch Validation Tests; - External shifter improvements, using low friction cables, coulisse and new cables path; - Development of a new synchronization package for an existing transmission. The work included shifting energy calculation and shift comfort analysis using specific shift measurement tool. That synchro development work included a trip to the GM headquarters in the USA to demonstrate the prototype transmission to the Executive members of the manual transmission sector.
- Responsible to define the calibration timing for a new upcoming program; - Participate in coordination forums where the main program requirements were discussed.
Structural measurements in vehicle and trucks: The work included coordinate the vehicle instrumentation, done by a technician team. The instrumentation consisted of strain gauges and accelerometers assembled in specific spots. The car would then run specific procedures and tracks. The measurement files had to be analyzed Using CATMAN software. Final report was then sent to the responsible engineer.
- Components validation tests and calibration of manual transmissions automated (MTA); - 9 months training in the LuK Headquarters center in Germany; - I worked on Corsa and Meriva Easytronic that by the time was exported to Mexico; - Startup of the transmission assembly line by Opel Austria und General Motors in Brazil;
