As member of the GEM leadership team providing financial expertise & negotiation support to the newly established global & virtual organization (responsibility for supplier spend > 600 MM$).

Transfer of the Europe McNeil HQ to Zug (15 countries, NTS > 400 MM$) after ending the JV with Merck. Due to the Pfizer Consumer Healthcare acquisition both McNeil & parts of PCH became the J&J OTC business (South Europe: 8 countries, 500 MM$) being part of the Consumer Sector.

Finance team to support 35 countries (approx. 900 MM$ IC-Sales) with diverse legal settings, e.g. third party, commissioner and affiliate business . - Built the regional finance team by hiring four people, absorbing the work of three teams and achieving significant data quality & process efficiency improvements e.g. reduction of closing lead time to C+3, transparency & insights of regional spending.

Co-leading the Finance & Treasury department in times of significant changes (build up of J&J shared service center & implementation of the SOX compliance Act), while forming a small team & establish a “state of the art” A/R, Cash Flow & Foreign Currency Hedging management.

Building up “state of the art” investment decision, closing -, forecasting – and management information processes while being the financial sparring partner of the chemical plant leadership team. - Established role and achieved integration into leadership team. - Achieved significant cost reductions by supporting the execution of Process Excellence projects, by growing the 60 MM$ generic API business & by developing strategic outsourcing capabilities.

Times of significant changes due to the integration of the East German Army after the reunification & preparation/ first foreign deployments Ten year spanning Army career serving in various positions with increasing responsibility, e.g. group leader, platoon leader, company leader, battalion staff member in a bi-national brigade - while passing Army training's always in the Top 5 of the class, e.g. Officer School, Battery Control Officer, Ranger Training, … .
