Research in the use of ultrasound to improve (micro) mixing and mass transfer from the solid to the liquid phase during leaching of Rare Earth Elements from Bauxite Residue (BR) and from BR depleted in Fe, Al, Ti. Evaluation to which extent CO2 can be used for neutralisation of BR.

Master Thesis: Prediction of liquidus temperature of carbon steels as a function of their chemical composition. Literature review related to already existence model for liquidus temperature estimation and/or simulation; influence of alloying elements on shape of liquidus temperature line; and range of application. Modelling and Simulation with Thermo-Calc

Mr. Marin worked as Internship Student in a project based on characterization of different ores powder in terms of their wettability and capillarity behaviour by using the Dispense Drop Method and Washburn Technique.

Mr. Marin worked as researcher engineer being part in projects in which was necessary carried out activities related to research, logistics, supervisions and innovations. He participated actively in several R&D projects for copper industrie.

Rodolfo investigated the topic "Separation of fine and ultrafine solid particles, at constant pressure, from acidic copper electrolyte" as part of his Bachelor Thesis.
