Contributed to traction and auxiliary converter hardware. Designed LT3798 flyback power supplies and performed power, loading, and thermal analyses. Worked with mechanical teams on air- and water-cooled heatsinks. Standardized specs, simulations, and test documents per EN standards. Collaborated across teams and trained interns on documentation and BOM processes.

Led India’s first locally developed Integrated Traction Converter, moving R&D from Switzerland to India. Designed key hardware (IGBTs, DC link, busbars, sine filter) and delivered Zuken E3 schematics with SAP BOMs. Advanced to Technical Project Lead, coordinating teams, ensuring manufacturability, and securing approvals. Optimized layout for EMI/EMC and vibration, completed type tests, resolved a SiC charger issue, and supported tender bids.

Contributed to Auxiliary Converter design from concept to preliminary BOM. Designed and analyzed key high-power circuits including IGBT selection, DC link capacitor sizing, pre-charge circuitry, and sine filter design for harmonic compliance. Built strong foundations in traction converter hardware with hands-on exposure to the full power-stage design cycle.

Worked on electrical substation design, focusing on calculations and layout planning. Performed short-circuit force analysis, grounding system design, lightning mast placement, and busbar sizing. Contributed to detailed design documents and drawings while ensuring compliance with relevant standards and safety regulations.
