Master thesis project: preliminary work of analysis and experimentation in simulated mode, making use of the Voith Simulator. Objective: research of possible solutions for the implementation of a simple control algorithm; the latter is meant to govern the propellers activity on a tug in escorting operations and waves, so that high changes in the towline tension are curtailed.

I followed and assisted surveyors during: - annual surveys on pleasure vessels, commercial vessels (in particular ro-ro pax ships, containerships), industrial vessels (in particular hopper dredges, fishing vessels) and service vessels (in particular bunker tankers, tugboats, crane support ships) - periodic inspection of lifting appliances - construction surveys of a fleet replenishment tanker ship at Fincantieri shipyard in Genoa Sestri
