Shahzad Hussain

I am a Post-Doctoral researcher in the FEMAN Group at University of Barcelona led by Prof. Dr. Enric Bertran who is renowned figure in the field of Nanomaterials. The theme of my research is manufacturing nanocomposite materials based on vertically aligned carbon nanotubes (VA-CNTs) and Si for Li-ion batteries.

I worked as a Post-Doctoral researcher for two years at GREMI/CNRS, University of Orleans, France, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. E. Kovacevic. The main objectives were the optimization of key parameters to synthesis nanostructures (CNTs, CNWs, nanoparticles) by PECVD, functionalization and characterization for bio and energy applications.
