Design with CAD all the MGSEs that are needed for assembly of Nyx, a modular and reusable space orbital vehicle that can eventually be refuelled in orbit and which carries cargo - and potentially humans. Support the design of automation parts (electrical motors with variators and controllers) & discuss with suppliers the MGSE designs for ease of manufacturing with the most adequate processes.

Development (design/documentation) of components/assemblies related to: drill, chisel and combination hammers with a focus on impact mechanism parts and the tool recording to ensure cost/schedule and quality goals. Sub-project management with all associated responsibilities and requirements for one defined area within the mechanical parts of drilling, chisel and combination hammering.

Worked in the Propulsion IPT (Integrated Project Team), an interdisciplinary team for an electric powered VTOL conceptual aircraft. Responsibilities include verifying requirements definition, conceptual design with trade-offs, generation of engineering drawings and providing support for test article manufacturing. Collaborated with various cross-functional teams to progress on the technological demonstrators and support the overall V&V process.

Design of generators/alternators coupled to diesel engines used on railroad locomotives and mining trucks. Performed engineering calculations, finite element analysis (FEA), failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) and production part approval process (PPAP) validation. Evaluated reliability issues with field services teams based on customer feedback and drove root cause analysis to develop & validate repair/rework solutions. Released repair specifications for to successfully implement improved designs.

Designed custom marine deck machinery including winches, capstans and anchor windlasses. Analysed major mechanical components like spur gears, worm gears, shafts, band brakes, bearings, jaw clutches, bolted joints, welded joints etc. Obtained certification of drawings and calculations from third party certification agencies such as the American Bureau of Shipping and Lloyd’s Register Group. Assisted the sales department in developing a proposal to provide a winch with motion compensation capabilities.
