Cell Migration and Invasion Laboratory Researched the role of the nonreceptor tyrosine kinases Pyk2 and FAK in metastatic cancer • Validated both binding and phosphorylation targets of the kinases in biochemical assays • Established and improved biochemical protocols and methods for protein purification • Assisted in training of Graduate Students in both laboratory and writing skills • Produced data that contributed to several scientific articles (some still in preparation)

• Focus on Cell migration and cellular signaling • Used diverse tools such as life cell imaging and quantitative western blotting to research the regulation of actin polymerization by Abl-family kinases and the nucleation promoting factor N-Wasp • Publication in “Biochemistry” (in collaboration)
