Back in India, started off as a Project Coordinator with CFAR ( Centre for Advocay and Research) on a HIV/AIDS project. I taught writing skills and radio production at two of South Delhi's reputed media instittues. Worked as Consultant Editor with 'DASH' magazine. Headed SMS news project for IANS (Indo-Asian News Service) and later worked on the foreign desk. Joined Yogpeeth Hardwar as Consultant Editor, edited and produced two major books. Last regular job was with Power Politics magazine as Copy Editor.

I filed stories about Indian diaspora settled in Australia and other countries in the region. Also covered issues of bilateral interest.

I produced and presented regular hour-long National Hindi programme as directed by the head of Hindi unit. SBS is a multicultural broadcaster which was set up to cater to specific media needs of ethnic minorities in Australia. Also served as part-time journalist with SBS TV doing media monitoring shifts.

I established the Australia bureau for this US-based web portal which served Indian diaspora.

I wrote at least two news features in a week as a retainer for IPS. My brief was to cover 'Third World' in the 'First World'. I mainly wrote about migrant issues, aboriginal affairs and other news which was not covered by the mainstream Australian media.

I worked for these publications during the period of 1990-95 as a Reporter and mainly covered Delhi affairs. I shifted base to Sydney in 1995 to pursue higher studies in media.

I started my career with Patriot group in New Delhi, it was considered as the cradle of Indian journalism. My work included editing weekly Link magazine which was India's first news magazine and also writing news reports for Link magazine and main publication Patriot daily.

I worked as a Rapporteur/Researcher for various confereces and seminars organised by Non-Aligned Media Foundation. This media lobby group was associated with NAM movment and eminent media professionals were associated with it. I had a long association with it which started while I pursued my first course in journalism from Bhartiya Vidya Bhawan.
