• Secured a prestigious 3-year Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellowship. • Initiated and led an international research project investigating the genetic dependencies of N-terminal acetyltransferases in human cells • Performed and analyzed genome-wide CRISPR knockout screens in human cells.

Successfully contributed to four ongoing projects resulting in several publications in scientific journals • Characterized the enzyme activity and function of actin acetyltransferase NAA80. • Investigated the molecular interaction between NAA80 and profilin 2 (PFN2). • Analyzed the N-terminal maturation process of beta-actin. • Examined the functional impact of pathogenic variants in NAA15.

Managed research projects, secured funding, planned, performed and analyzed experiments, while overseeing a team of students and technicians, resulting in peer-reviewed publications.
