  • Bis heute 10 Jahre und 6 Monate, seit Apr. 2014

    Center Liaison/Collaboration Manager

King Abdullah University of Science and Technology

  • 2 Jahre und 6 Monate, Apr. 2011 - Sep. 2013

    Process Development Engineer

    BHP Billiton
  • 4 Monate, Sep. 2010 - Dez. 2010

    Postdoctoral Research Fellow

    Murdoch University

Undertaking a project on the ‘Synthesis, Characterization, and Solubility of Uranium compounds (Uranyl Vanadates and Uranate Minerals)’. This project aims to determine the solubility of, and characterize, a range of uranyl-vanadate and uranate solid phases. The key objective is the acquisition of robust uranium mineral solubility data under well-defined conditions for use in predictive thermodynamic modelling, and as a tool to facilitate the improvement of uranium processing and waste management technology.

  • 3 Jahre, Sep. 2007 - Aug. 2010

    Postdoctoral Research Fellow (Chemistry)

    Murdoch University, Perth, Australia

Undertook a project on the ‘Thermodynamic Characterisation of Organics in Bayer Liquor’, sponsored by Alcoa World Alumina, BHP Billiton / Worsley Alumina, Hydro Aluminium Metal Products, Rio Tinto Alcan and UC Rusal and the Australian Research Council. This project has sought new and detailed knowledge about chemical interactions in Bayer liquors. The experimental findings have been used to inform predictive models of the chemistry in Bayer liquors and how this manifests itself in plant behaviour.

  • 4 Jahre und 10 Monate, Juli 2002 - Apr. 2007

    Research Scientist (Catalysis)

    University of Leipzig

Research project on 'Catalytic oxidation of n-butene/n-butane' in collaboration with industry partners (Wacker Chemie AG) sponsored by the German Research Foundation to optimise a catalytic process in which unwanted side products from oil and gas refining activities are converted to valuable basic substances for the chemical industry.
