I lead the evolution of HEPHA’s connected e-bike platform, spanning the rider app, backend services, and drive system software. My role combines product ownership with cross-functional collaboration between hardware, software, UX, and business teams. I focus on delivering a seamless digital riding experience - driving usability, performance, and new features and scalable architecture - always guided by rider insights, market research, and a privacy-first approach.

From the very beginning and for ten years I helped build the company: • Starting out as the company first software developer, rapidly progressing to project manager and ultimately CTO. • Hiring and managing its 100+ project development team of very creative people. • Being fully involved in all aspects of the business, from strategy and sales to operations. • Taking an active part in its international expansion to Spain, Brazil and the USA.

• Pioneered the establishment of the company’s project management framework. • Specialized in website and mobile application projects, interactive systems, human-machine interfaces, augmented reality, and 3D visualization. • Steered project definitions, goals, technologies, design, systems, specifications, schedules, budgeting, and staffing.

• Engineered software systems with a focus on web development utilizing PHP, Microsoft .NET, JavaScript, and HTML. • Spearheaded the development of Portugal’s inaugural web-based city-wide road navigation system. • Executed database specifications and implementation, leveraging Oracle, MySQL, and Microsoft SQL Server.

• Founded and developed Portugal's pioneering photo-sharing platform foto@pt. • Garnered ‘Best Cultural Website in Portugal’ 2001 and 2002 through public voting. • Curated and facilitated the publication of a photography book.

• Selected, installed, configured and tested computer hardware, networking software and operating systems deployment. • Planed, coordinated and implemented network security measures to protect data and software. • Recommend changes to improve systems and network configurations. Determined hardware or software requirements related to such changes

• Designed, built, and maintained websites, using scripting languages, content creation tools, management tool and digital media. • Built and modified existing databases for geographical information systems. • Maintained the R&D department database management systems and web servers.
