• Experimental work using photoelectron, Auger electron coincidence spectroscopy on small molecules, and data analysis • Experimental work using electron microscopy (LEEM/PEEM) on organic photovoltaics and data analysis • Time-resolved photoemission experiments (Vis/UV pump, X-Ray probe) on organic photovoltaics at synchrotron radiation sources (ALS, Berkeley, USA) and using the previously built-up tr-PES experimental setup (IR/UV pump, XUV probe) at the Center for Free Electron Laser Science

• Plan and buildup of a new laboratory at the Center for Free Electron Laser Science for time-resolved photoemission on organic photovoltaics • Photoemission experiments on organic photovoltaics using an existing experimental setup at synchrotron radiation sources as well as with the built-up tr-PES experimental setup (IR/UV pump, HHG-XUV probe) at the Center for Free Electron Laser Science • Proposal of new research projects at synchrotron radiation sources

• Experimental work using electron, electron coincidence spectroscopy on rare gas- and water clusters, and data analysis • Experimental work using photoelectron spectroscopy and photoelectron, Auger electron coincidence spectroscopy on small molecules, and data analysis • Responsible for the upkeep and improvement of the existing apparatus, as well as purchasing of new equipment • Proposal of new research projects at synchrotron radiation sources

• Development, design and characterization of a two-staged source for chalcogene clusters • Design of an electron spectrometer and an ion time-of-flight mass spectrometer with a position sensitive detector (delay line anode) for electron, ion coincidence experiments • Experiments on the fragmentation of chalcogene clusters subsequent to ionization by synchrotron radiation (BESSY II, Berlin, D) or by highly charged ions (KVI Groningen, NL) and data analysis
