Leads a team of IT Solution Architects to meet the needs of Syngenta Research and Development through the delivery of architectural change

As the Principle Architect of HR IT and BTS my role is to plan future IT strategy together with our clients, and monitor the strategic progress of all changes affecting our application portfolio. This includes the architectural governance of global IT functions for standard HR processes and employee equity plans. My current project of interest is to raise awareness of social computing and promote its use within the enterprise.

As a senior consultant and database administrator my responsibilities included the analysis, design, implementation and deployment of custom solutions for the biotech industry. Additionally my responsibilities included the planning and maintenance of the Oracle database infrastructure for the Swiss headquarters.

As an associate developer, our team developed a web based self-service kiosk for Oracle HR Applications. This included work with our partner department in California culminating in two months at the Oracle headquarters in San Francisco.

As part of my computer science degree one year was spent within the Scientific Applications group of Ciba-Geigy AG. During this time I implemented a world first Ciba-Geigy AG World Wide Web (WWW) home page and developed interfaces between SQL databases and the WWW.
