Already in 2009, I was greatly interested in biochemical processes and absolved an internship at Roche, Basel. The internship took place in the preclinical research, department “drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics”. There, I gained insights into the daily routine of metabolism-studies, working with cell cultures and analytical studies using LC-MS. During several discussions with employees, I learned something about the general processes of drug development and experimental research activities.
