Strategic initiative to optimize the current target operating model of the Allianz Global Investors.

The Data Center Consolidation Program worldwide is one of the largest infrastructure transformation program in the insurance practice. It is a strategic project to consolidate the global datacenter landscape of the Allianz. The DCC Program provides resilience against regional disaster events, consolidates data center facilities, and increases cost efficiency. In-scope: 141 datacenters with 27.000 servers and 71.000 MIPS. - Project budget: ~500 Mio. € - Project size: ~100-200 employees

Chief Operation Officer of the Allianz OrtungsServices. This 100% subsidiary of the Allianz focusses on the provisioning of location based and mobile IT services for the group. The work includes managing of current operation and the optimization of the current application landscape. This role included a successful turnaround initiative with a 60% cost cutting exercise over the course of two years. Current profit margin is 10% (-80% prior takeover).

Head of AMOS Workplace (client): This role function included the distribution and development of global workplace related services, such as clients (AVC), printers, virtual services, mobile phones, video conferencing, etc. A focus relied on the globalization of these services in and the creation of a shared services concept. - Division budget: ~60-80 Mio. € - Division size: 35 employees

Program Lead Allianz Virtual Client: The Allianz Virtual Client (AVC) is a strategic project with a worldwide scope to virtualize the Allianz workplace (client) desktops and their applications. It includes: 240.000 workplace clients in over 80 different operational entities. - Project budget: 10-20 Mio. € - Project size: ~100 employees

Joined the Allianz Executive-Talent-Program and worked for the CIO of the Allianz Germany. The work included strategic decision making processes, project management and the support of various executive decisions.

I worked at the top management strategy consulting firm A.T. Kearney at the rank of an Associate (workstream manager). Target group of the strategic consulting services were the fortune 500 firms. My main project focus was the Communication and High Tech Practice.

At the computer science department of the FU Berlin, led several application development projects, including various developments, which led to my first PhD thesis.
