The main research activity was focused on the analysis and development of short to medium range magnetic positioning systems for indoor environments. All the developed systems were experimentally characterized by extensive in-field measurements in non-line-of-sight and multipath conditions.

Frontal lessons as well as individual consulting covering different arguments of classical mechanics.

Positioning techniques based on electromagnetic waves and inertial sensors. The main focus was the integration of different types of positioning systems using signal processing techniques like Leasts Squares algorithms and Kalman Filters.

Design of electrically tunable waveguide resonators and filters using 3D fullwave simulators.

Training and master thesis at Microwave and High Speed Electronics Research Center, focusing on the study and development of innovative front-end solutions for short range point2point communications in E-band (71-86 GHz). Main responsibilitis were the design and optimization of microwave devices like Substrate Integrated Waveguide (SIW) power dividers, slotted cavity radiating elements and transitions between SIW and slotted cavities for an array antenna. Two International Patents were granted.
