Internship under Hedley Lewis (executive director), this internship is aimed at introducing me to all facets of working within an NGO in the health sector. I worked at the Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital in the pediatric plastic surgery ward, as well as working within the Smile Foundation Headquarters which included marketing, fund raising, patient relations, event management, administration, donor sourcing etc.
