• Worked in an industrial project concerning the effect of test compounds on hair growth ex-vivo using techniques such as microdissection and hair follicle organ culture, tissue processing, OCT embedding and cryosectioning, immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence staining. • Involved in writing SOPs, lab ordering, equipment maintenance and safe disposal of hazardous wastes in accordance with German regulations.

• Actively contributed to a research project entitled “A robust and versatile homology-(in)dependent multi-fragment assembly for functional transgenesis” using various methods such as cell culture (bacteria, yeast), production of novel DNA constructs (molecular cloning), PCR and qPCR.

• Worked on my MSc thesis entitled “Interaction between the transcriptional regulators, Tlx and Hes1 in the regulation of adult neurogenesis” using techniques such as brain dissection, cell sorting (FACS), mammalian cell culture, AAV production (Hes1 knockout), transfection, cultivation and differentiation of neural stem cells, PCR, qPCR, SDS-PAGE, immunohistochemistry and confocal microscopy.

• Involved in extraction and quantification of various bioactive compounds using plant tissue culture, UV/Vis Spectroscopy, TLC and HPLC. Evaluation and documentation of results in an electronic lab book. • Responsible for drafting SOPs and conducting internal review.

• Provided excellent technical support and trouble-shooting services to the customers within North America via e-mail, live chat and hotline.

• Worked on the research of “Expression and Purification of Human Membrane Proteins in K. lactis” using techniques such as cell culture (bacteria, yeast), PCR, molecular cloning, protein expression, SDS-PAGE, Western blot and affinity chromatography. • Involved in lab organization and equipment maintenance duties.
