Main research areas: path planning for industrial and mobile robotics (coverage path planning for surface processing, UAV goods delivery under localization quality constraint), automatic car localization. Responsibilities: proposal writing (DFG, BMBF), publications, supervision of students (seminar "Smart Logistics and Manufacturing Robotics", software project)

Project "Heuristic Intelligence" (HINT) aims at automatic heuristic development for operational research problems, e.g., scheduling and configuration problems. My main responsibilities: modeling a production scheduling problem using answer set programming (clingo, iclingo) and constraint ASP (clingcon), extending an Eclipse plugin for logic programming, test benchmark generation and validation.

Project "Self-organizing Intelligent Network of UAVs" (SINUS), focuses on integration and interaction of key components of a multi-UAV system (UAV platforms, sensing, network and coordination). Within the project I have developed algorithms for path planning problems with limited resources.

Project "Collaborative microdrones" (cDrones), covered three major aspects of multi-UAV systems: networked control, mission planning and cooperative aerial imaging. I have developed and evaluated algorithms for path planning problems with limited time horizon for large UAV fleets. For evaluation, I have modeled the problems using constraint-based programming language MiniZinc.
