• Develop, test, maintain and support general data acquisition (GDA) software (Java, Eclipse) on several DLS beamlines in collaboration with scientists, scientific software and controls groups. • Integrate new experimental devices and/or experimental logic in GDA, such as electron analysers or novel scan type. • Enhance GDA client User Interface to make it robust, adaptable and easy to use by users as well as developers. • Provide first line support on GDA software.

Develop, test, maintain and support data analysis software in close collaboration with scientists. • Data analysis and visualization of multidimensional spectra using Python, Java tools as well as specific science software. • Develop web-interface (back-end and partially front-end) to allow for preliminary data simulation running in a container on a Kubernetes science cluster. • Finding opportunities to automate and improve experiment workflows: CLI tools, batch autoprocessing, etc.

• Topological insulators (TIs) and surface 2D systems electronic band structure characterization by means of ARPES and XPS. • In-situ MBE growth of thin films of TI: alpha-Sn. • Laboratory: support, repair, organization, ordering and scheduling equipment use. • Software development on Python: GUI and remote device operation. • Writing proposals, preparation for and conduction of synchrotron beamtime experiments.

Synchrotron-based Soft-X-Ray Angle Resolved Photoemission, individual research project and external users support. Exploring the electronic band structure of novel materials, heterostructures interface, 2DEG systems, high-temperature superconductors, transition metal oxides, topological insulators and etc. Data analysis, publication of results.

Analysis of failure issues in OLEDs and TFT. New materials characterization. Multilayer organic/inorganic samples, interface analysis by XPS and UPS. Thin films characterization using XRR and GI-XRD.

Investigation of electronic structure of transition metals and their oxides, thin films, multi-layer thin-film structures and organic molecules by means of VUV and SX-Photoemission spectroscopy, Auger spectroscopy and Electron Energy Loss spectroscopy.
