• Develop material models for shape-memory polymers and smart materials. • Model shoft robots (single or multi-materials) using the developed material models. • Investigate buckling effects and stable work conditions of the shoft robots and smart actuators, and optimized their performances in real environments. • Design and model the transformation of 2D structural materials into 3D geometries for medical applications.

Investigated abrasion experiments. Developed the abrasion model based on the experiments and literature. Validated the advanced abrasion model theoretically and numerically. Developed the FEA code and other numerical methods. Implemented thermo-mechanical formulation and simulation. Supervised Master theses and graded examinations.

Prepared lectures and taught undergraduate courses of reinforced concrete structure, structure of high-rise building, strength of materials. Supervised bachelor theses and participated as member of defense jury. Researched numerical methods (SFEM, XFEM), shakedown analysis, high-rise structures, offshore structures. Write the code for the simulation of numerical methods.

Designed drawings and calculations for pre-engineered steel buildings including dynamic analysis by means of FEM. Reviewed the designs of the team members.

Reviewed structural design drawings and specifications including piles, foundations, upper-structures, post-tensioned flat slabs of high-rise buildings or factory structures, tanks, silos with consideration of dynamic behaviors by means of FEM. Prepared and presented review results at technical meetings.
