I am working on the development of membranes for gas separation. These membranes are mixed ionic electronic conductors and are used for separation of oxygen from various types of gases. Their function is very much similar to fuel cell operation except that mixed ionic electronic conductors don't need an external electrical circuit.

Worked on the development of transparent ceramics at the Institute for Energy Research-1.

Master thesis at the Technology Centre of Johnson Matthey Fuel Cells, Reading, UK. Independently handled projects on analysis of durability of different types of membrane electrode assemblies of Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cells and analyzed data for troubleshooting and further development. Research on development of accelerated test was the major target during the project.

Worked as a student scientist at the Institute for Energy Research-1 for development of low temperature electrolyte materials for Solid Oxide Fuel Cell. Implemented novel throughput techniques to produce the electrolyte material and carried out characterization of the sample to analyze the behavior of the sample.

Rotational training in Thermal and process engineering dept., Mineral ore processing dept. and physical and chemical analysis laboratory.

At GAIL (India) Ltd. i have undergone training on safety, offsites plant operation, main plant operation, start-up and shut-down procedures, emergency handling, hydrocarbon analysis systems in laboratory, maintenance techniques and troubleshooting alongwith submission of project report on material and energy balance of special boiling point solvents.
