I trained new student employees to do the responsibilities at the dining hall. I mediated disputes between customers and employees. This position improved my customer service and communication skills. I also had negotiation skills to allocate the responsibilities of student staffs. I had strong leadership to guide the team and distribute the work to each person to solve the tasks efficiency. The experience as an associate student manager strengthened my decision making and multitasking skills as well.

I provided food service, maintained a clean and sanitary environment for customers and provided a good customer service to solve the problems that customers had at the dining hall.

I used the statistical management system to do the warehouse management. I also packaged textbooks and provided customer service to help them find the textbooks or make an order of the books.

I learned the applications of engineering techniques. I knew the circuit, Matlab, CAD and 3-D printing. I experienced the bioprocessing project and medical device project. I also learned mammalian cells culture strategy and the bioassay methods in Stem Cell Engineering course.

I majored in biochemistry and minored in chemistry. I learned the applications of gene regulatory by analyzing research papers and worked at the lab in Mechanisms of Gene Regulation in Eukaryotes course. The lessons of genetics caught my eyes and made me interested in gene regulation.
