I was responsible for managing and responding to correspondence in both English and Mandarin, tracking manuscript progress, updating workflow lists, and assisting with meeting minutes and annual publication data compilation. Through close online collaboration with the editor-in-chief, associate editors, and international scholars, I developed strong administrative skills, bilingual communication abilities, and team collaboration experience.

I worked hard and actively participated in pro bono legal services and part-time in a law firm (Hsiao Yi Hon Attorneys-at-Law) gaining hands-on experience in assisting clients and addressing legal issues. Additionally, I have attended various legal conferences and seminars, broadening my understanding of complex legal topics and emerging trends, and have a deep understanding of Taiwanese, German, and U.S. law.

Managed admin and compliance tasks for a multi-million-dollar legal research project, including budgeting and reporting. Later took on research roles such as executive editor of a legal studies newsletter and analyst for the Taiwan Law and Social Change Survey. Collaborated with interdisciplinary scholars and translated findings for public communication, strengthening my skills in legal research, data analysis, and academic-public engagement.

As an undergraduate, I joined the student-led organization dedicated to promoting access to justice. Through this experience, I participated in legal outreach activities, provided basic legal information to underserved communities, and assisted in preparing educational materials on topics such as labor rights and consumer protection.

I have completed all the required coursework for my master’s degree and only have my thesis left to finish. However, after spending several years in the same academic environment, I felt the need to step out of my comfort zone and challenge myself in a new setting. That’s why I decided to enter the workforce—to sharpen my practical skills, gain real-world experience, and broaden my perspective.
