Method development for in-vivo study in mice of toxicity and biodistribution of DNA gene therapy for lung fibrosis treatment. Preparation of ASO-loaded nanocarriers, intratracheal delivery to lung, and evaluation of the behavior of the active by FACS, spinning disk confocal microscope and ELISA. Took on management responsibilities related to purchasing and setting up new equipment, and training coworkers.

Development of lipid nanoparticles for topical delivery of anti-aging actives and nicotine replacement therapy. Strong focus on formulation and process optimization, especially identifying links between production parameters and product quality. Worked towards commercial application of an oral nicotine replacement product in cooperation with an industry partner. Learned to present technical findings to interdisciplinary internal and external cooperation partners.

Development of delivery systems for cancer treatment and investigating subsequent investigation of anticancer effects in rodents. Planned and executed projects of extensive scope and with long-term goals, and instructed a highly qualified team of technical assistants. Preparation as well as chromatographic analysis and purification of peptides. Unique experience with pharmacokinetic analysis using a radioactive biomarker for preclinical in-vivo studies in a GMP-conform environment.

Teaching, supervision and grading of student lab courses. Writing detailed standard operating procedures (SOPs). Instructing and teaching teams of students required the development of excellent communication skills.
