Quantifying the Parameters Influencing Water Ejection during Quenching with an Array of Jets ( Institute of fluid power and thermodynamics - OVGU Magdeburg) A 2D-model of the direct chill casting was developed to study the importance of water film ejection in the secondary cooling region. Heat transfer analysis of the quenching process was simulated using COMSOL to identify the presence of water ejection.
