Administer corporate legal & intellectual property matters, litigation, adjudication&arbitration proceedings, attend ministry meetings, vet&draft commercial agreements, review pre-tender & post-contracts, solely handle company secretarial works, administer taxation, governance compliance, risk management, acquisition & due diligence matters with established legal firms&accounting firms, as well as to assist the project teams to prepare a robust case and provide resolution when there's a contractual dispute.

I'm a sole in-house legal officer, ensuring that my company operates within the legal framework. I conduct regular reviews of policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance; undertake all legal tasks, particularly the enhancement of internal protocols; do a frequent legal research and communicate with outsource lawyers to resolve the dispute matters; provide legal guidance to different departments to align their activities with applicable bylaws, laws and regulations, including coaching and presentation

My core responsibility is to give legal consultation to the potential clients and help them making a right decision towards their intellectual property assets (including the patent rights). Further, besides filing of the application, enforcement and maintenence, I have to draft and prepare the write-up and affidavits for new registration of trademark and appeal affidavits for the rejected application due to the provisional refusal.

I was given a golden opportunity to learn valuable litigation and legal conveyancing skills such as drafting a notice of demand, will writing, statement of defence and/or counterclaim, decree nisi, joint divorce petition, winding up petition, originating summons/statement of claim, affidavits in reply, preparing tenancy agreement and documents for transmission under Small Estate (Distribution Act 1965).
