About us

Silence is a Spanish company dedicated to the design, development and manufacture of 100% efficient, electric two and three-wheeled scooters, with an R&D+i of its own and working with national suppliers.

The company has headquarters and technology center for R&D in Esplugues de Llobregat, and has opened the new factory in Molins de Rei (Barcelona) with production capacity of 10.000 scooters and 12.000 battery packs per year per shift. It is the first factory in Europe that develops and manufactures both vehicles and batteries they use.

Silence was born in 2012 with the mission to improve the quality of life in cities. Silence wants to accelerate the change towards a model of urban mobility fully sustainable through the development of an innovative product adapted to new market needs. This will be supported by its partner companies, Repsol, Caixa Capital Risc and CDTI.

The company is formed by qualified personnel with extensive experience in the world of motorcycle, employing more than sixty different positions on its staff (engineers, operations, commercial, marketing...) and also works with external partners. Its object is to create in a medium term 100 direct jobs and 3.600 indirect jobs across Europe.

After 6 years of continuous work in R&D and many tests in Spain and Europe in late 2014 hits the stores the electric scooter Silence S02 intended for the transport sector (delivery, police and municipal officials), betting on the change to electric mobility with an eco-responsible project.

In 2018, Silence ended the year as leader of Spanish sales market in electric motorcycle fleet, with 62% of market share. Major companies such as Correos, ARA VINC, JUST EAT, SEUR, B:SM, REDBAR, AMAZON UK, or the city councils of Madrid, Lisbon, Rotterdam and Barcelona, ​​roll with this model of national manufacture. 

The company also started its international expansion, with presence in over 14 countries worldwide, where EVs are having a great reception. Now, the company is working to expand its international sales distribution, looking for new delears.
