We are looking for a motivated Team Assistant to join our Growth team in the DACH region, supporting the coordination and implementation of regional growth initiatives that strengthen MDPI's visibility and engagement among universities, researchers, and academic organizations.

As part of our commitment to fostering a collaborative team environment, this role requires working fully on-site.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Support the Growth team in coordinating and tracking regional growth initiatives and digital activities in line with MDPI's global strategy

• Conduct desk research on universities, research institutions, conferences, competitors, and market trends in the DACH region and prepare short overviews and summaries

• Assist in maintaining trackers, overviews, and simple reports on regional activities, timelines, and outcomes

• Support the preparation and coordination of region-specific digital content (e.g., newsletter inputs, website updates, scholar features, interviews) in collaboration with internal teams

• Assist with projects related to local and country-specific activities, such as researching relevant scholarly conferences (e.g., for 2027 and beyond) and compiling event overviews

• Perform coordinative and administrative tasks (e.g., scheduling, meeting notes, file and document maintenance) and support other ad-hoc Growth projects as needed

You will communicate primarily in English, our corporate language.

Requirements

• Student Status: Currently enrolled in a university or higher education institution (preferred Bachelor's degree (Business Administration, Communication, Marketing, Publishing, International Relations, or related field))

• Language Skills: Fluent in English (C1); German (C1) is also required

• Technical Skills: Confident use of MS Office and digital tools for document management

• Strong organizational and communication skills

• Keen attention to detail and a proactive, team-oriented mindset
