Postdoc (f/m/d) for Combined Atomic Force and Optical Experiments on Colour Centres in Solids
Your Tasks
- Conduct and support nano-scale NMR/EPR experiments and characterize the physical properties of colour centres in diamond.
- Knowledge of optical and magnetic resonance spectroscopy (NMR and EPR)
- Experience with atomic force microscopy
- Explore and further develop theoretical foundations, models, methods, and procedures.
- Supervise and support PhD, Master?s, and Bachelor?s theses.
- Assist in laboratory administration and manage technical documentation.
- Prepare publications, reports, and presentations for scientific journals, conferences, and diverse audiences.
- Highly motivated and curious with a PhD in physics, chemistry, physical chemistry or related fields
- Knowledge in optical and/or magnetic resonance spectroscopy is required
- Experience with low temperature experiments is advantageous
- Independent communication and cooperation with the project partners, including the organisation of the exchange of samples and measurement campaigns
- Self-motivated, detail and goal orientated work style with the ability to solve scientific and practical challenges independently, coupled with team spirit in a multidisciplinary environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Additional German language skills are an advantage.
