We are looking for a practicing architect who can demonstrate a distinguished and innovative body of work in the field of housing. Applicants are expected to have experience in teaching and/or imparting architectural knowledge, along with an academic qualification commensurate with the position. .

The professorship in Housing is expected to address the current challenges and framework conditions of socially and environmentally sustainable construction, as well as the creation of necessary housing and to further develop the Institute in the areas of design, research, and teaching within an international context.

The professorship represents the core element of architectural education at TU Graz: architectural design. The aim of teaching is to educate highly skilled designers with profound expertise at both Bachelor’s and Master’s level, who are capable of responsibly addressing the complexity of architectural practice across a wide range of building tasks.

Teaching responsibilities include the supervision of academic theses. An excellent record of scholarly engagement with the field is expected. A completed doctoral degree (PhD) is welcomed.

Relocation of the future professor to the greater Graz area (main residence) is required.

Adequate written and spoken German and English language skills are expected.
