We are looking for a practicing architect who can demonstrate a promising forward-thinking body of architectural work. The professorship is primarily aimed at applicants who show strong potential for future development in their field. Experience in teaching and/or in the dissemination of architectural knowledge will be considered an advantage.

The professorship is responsible for teaching architectural design within the Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes through supervised design studios. This teaching is to be conducted using innovative design methods in the field of architectural design. The language of instruction is English.

Willingness to engage in collaboration across institutes and faculties is expected. An excellent record of scholarly engagement with the field is expected. A completed doctoral degree (PhD) is welcomed. The scope of the teaching load for the professorship is determined in accordance with the applicable regulations.

The position to be filled is a full-time appointment, but may be changed into a part-time position at the request of the applicant. This position may also be divided into two part-time positions of 50% each; this option is available only in the case of joint applications. In the case of joint applications, applicants must clearly outline their motivation and justification for applying together, as well as provide a detailed account of the individual qualifications of each applicant.

Adequate written and spoken English language skills are expected.
