Let's connect: If you want to experience how things are done in the Group Finance & Accounting, Reinsurance Accounting team at our headquarters in Hannover / Germany, join us on a permanent basis, commencing at the earliest possible date as a Reinsurance Accountant Cyber, Digital Cyber, Digital, Parametric Solutions. The team is responsible for the Cyber, Digital and Parametric Solutions department and works closely with colleagues from Underwriting, Claims and other Finance units.
You can look forward to
- Analyse, review, and process statements of account and claims for both inward and outward traditional and structured reinsurance business for our global clients in the Cyber & Digital department
- Correspondence and coordination with internal and external customers
- Cross-team collaboration and structured exchange of information with neighbouring departments
- Support with quarterly and year-end closing work, e.g. estimates, reserve calculations and compliance with defined deadlines and service standards
- Control of accounting data with regard to quality and risk management activities in accordance with internal guidelines
- Independent current account processing and support in cash flow management
- Collaboration on automation and digitalisation initiatives in the international reinsurance accounting environment
You come equipped with
- Completed business studies or comparable commercial training
- Very good numerical skills combined with strong analytical and review capabilities
- Initial professional experience in technical accounting or settlement processing, preferably within (re)insurance
- SAP knowledge is desirable
- Business fluent in English and conversational German
- Knowledge of other foreign languages is an advantage
- Sound understanding of financial relationships and their implications
- Ability to understand and manage complex financial and technical matters and curiosity about innovative approaches
- A structured, independent and reliable working style
- Enjoy working in an international, highly motivated and well-networked team
