Data Scientist (m/f/d)
The Munich-based company looks back on a long tradition. Become part of our team and help us break new ground with innovative data solutions. For our newly established Data Analytics department, we are looking for a dedicated individual who will grow with us and help shape the department from the ground up.Your tasks:
- Contribute to shaping and establishing the Data Analytics department: You will be significantly involved in the establishment and strategic development of our Data Analytics department and will have the freedom to develop and implement innovative data science strategies. We want to use data to create real added value.
- Data analysis & visualization: You analyze large data sets using modern statistical methods, visualize analysis results and thus support strategic and operational decisions
- Innovation & Use Case Development: You proactively identify new application opportunities for data science in the insurance sector and develop innovative solutions to optimize business processes
- Knowledge transfer & competency development: You will act as a multiplier for data science knowledge and actively promote competency development within the company. To this end, you will design and lead internal workshops and training sessions on the effective use of data.
Your profile:
- Completed master's degree or doctorate in statistics, mathematics, computer science, or a comparable quantitative field. Alternatively: A bachelor's degree with solid, relevant professional experience.
- Practical experience in data science, ideally related to the insurance industry (e.g. through internships or student activities)
- Solid knowledge and practical experience with machine learning algorithms and statistical models
- Very good knowledge of Python or R (including relevant libraries such as scikit-learn, pandas, numpy)
- The ability to structure complex problems and develop data-driven solutions, as well as a high willingness to learn
- Strong teamwork skills and willingness to work closely with colleagues and departments
- Fluent German language skills (C1 level) are mandatory
