Daily Work specializes in assisting immigrants and those facing employment barriers using a holistic, relationship-based, strengths-focused approach. Through one-to-one case management services, we partner with job seekers to achieve financial stability through resource connections, job attainment, and retention, and supporting their progress to better employment and skills for as long as needed. Position Summary
As the face of Daily Work, you play a vital role in creating the warm and welcoming environment that defines Daily Work. You’ll greet visitors, manage the calendar, and handle administrative tasks with precision and efficiency. Multilingual candidates encouraged to apply.
Compensation & Benefits: $19–$22 per hour plus additional compensation for the ability to speak Amharic, Oromo, Dari, Pashto, Arabic or Spanish. Holiday pay, PTO, and agency-sponsored retirement plan with 3% employer match.
Working Hours: Monday–Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (24 hours per week). This position is 100 percent onsite in St. Paul, MN. Green line is within one block.

Key Responsibilities
Manage secured entry door and greet and assist job seekers, interns, volunteers, and others
Answer incoming calls and manage waiting list. Promptly respond to voicemails, and general email inquiries
Keep the reception area organized and stocked with materials
Complete initial intake steps with new job seekers, including describing services, wait time, and recording required information
Calendar Management (30 percent)
Set up and manage appointment schedule for case managers in GcalSchedule appointments accurately and completely for new and returning job seekers
Schedule and arrange interpreters or rides for job seekers as needed
Ensure accuracy of data entry for rides, interpreters, and others
Assist interns, staff, and volunteers with accurate data entry
Manage appointment reminder calls: setting up a schedule or doing them when needed
Data Entry and Administration (10 percent)
Collect and review incoming mail, distribute as needed
Monitor and request office and kitchen supplies, including bus, gas, and other gift cards.
Track needs and place orders for supplies and equipment as requested
Maintain copiers and coordinate repairs
Attend team and staff meetings and write meeting notes
Actively support community activities such as fundraising events or donor stewardship events
Other tasks as assigned or needed
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Two years of receptionist, customer service, or administrative support experience, preferably in a nonprofit setting
Some college or equivalent knowledge from other studies or life experiences
A proactive approach to work, demonstrating ownership and a sense of urgency
Ability to remain calm and supportive even when individuals or families are stressed or escalated
Willingness to assist with other duties and tasks, even if they are not named here
Strong organizational and time management skills and excellent attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Office Suite
Highly skilled using phones, copiers, computers, voicemail, and other office equipment
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated willingness to learn, grow, and accept feedback.
Contribute to refining systems to enhance simplicity and efficiency
Experience with Apricot database or ability to learn it quickly
Strong reasoning and organizational skills; able to multitask and focus despite interruptions
Fluency in another language besides English, especially Amharic, Oromo, Dari, Pashto, Arabic or Spanish

Physical Requirements Necessary to Perform this Job
Sit or stand for extended periods while working at a computer or assisting visitors
Communicate clearly in writing and verbally with staff, interns, volunteers, and visitors
Review and evaluate written and recorded materials
Travel locally as needed
Occasionally lift or carry items up to 25 pounds
Use standard office equipment, including computers, phones, printers, and AV tools
