Responsibilities

• The project focuses on the application of genetic engineering techniques to generate novel designer CHO cells with optimized process performance for the production of biopharmaceuticals.

• The project includes the following methods: standard molecular biology techniques ( e.g. PCR), state-of-the-art genome editing tools (CRISPR/Cas), transfection and cell culture technologies for the generation of stable production cell lines, single cell generation using a robotic system, small-scale bioprocesses in fed-batch format and protein analytics (product titer, glycosylation profile)

• Bachelor or Master studies in biochemistry, biology, biotechnology or related fields

• First experience with handling mammalian cell lines

• High motivation and the ability to work independently

• Structured way of working as well as solution-oriented way of thinking
