However, its production is highly energy-intensive and presents the industry with significant technological and env...

Aluminium Production – How Aluminium Is Made, Used and Recycled

Website: https://ermafa.at/ LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/72308863/admin/dashboard/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/ermafa.at/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/ErmafaEnvironmentalTechnologies Xing: https://www.xing.com/pages/ermafa-environmental-technologies In this video, we explore aluminium production, one of the most important industrial processes behind the lightweight metal used throughout our modern world. As the third part of our Bauxite series, we follow aluminium from its properties and natural occurrence to its production, industrial applications, environmental impact, and recycling. What you will learn in this video: 🔺 How aluminium is produced from aluminium oxide using the Hall-Héroult process 🔺 Why aluminium production is highly energy-intensive and how much energy and CO₂ emissions are involved 🔺 Where aluminium is used in everyday products, electronics, transportation, and aerospace 🔺 Why aluminium is abundant in the Earth's crust but is mainly extracted from bauxite 🔺 How the increasing use of aluminium in mobility can reduce weight and energy consumption 🔺 Why recycling is one of aluminium's greatest advantages and how the metal can be recycled again and again Aluminium plays a key role in modern industry because it combines low weight, good machinability, corrosion resistance, and recyclability. At the same time, its primary production requires significant amounts of energy, making more efficient production methods, renewable electricity, and advanced recycling technologies increasingly important. At Ermafa Environmental Technologies, we are researching innovative ways to keep industrial residues and by-products in the material cycle for as long as possible. Our goal is to find new applications for these materials, turning what would otherwise be considered waste into useful and valuable products. By developing solutions that allow resources to remain in the cycle, we aim to reduce waste, conserve raw materials, and contribute to a more sustainable circular economy. In this way, we help close material cycles and keep valuable resources in use for longer. Ermafa Environmental Technologies – Sustainable Solutions for a Blue Planet 🌱💚youtube.com
