NavGurukul is a non-profit initiative to provide a meaningful alternative to college education. It trains youth from humble backgrounds in software programming. I was responsible for driving academics for the School of Programming. I built learning pathways and systems to ensure a strong foundation in Programming Fundamentals among 1000+ students. I also drove the Code India Fellowship to hire and make the top engineering talent devote their one year to mentor the academic team and students at NavGurukul.

www.codechef.com is among the largest community of programmers and the top 3 competitive programming platforms in the world. It was started in 2009 with the vision of making Indian programmers better problem solvers by gamifying the subject of Data Structures, Algorithms and programming. CodeChef was acquired by Unacademy in June 2020. I defined and drove CodeChef’s vision for 12+ years. I led technology, product, community initiatives, and other cross-functional teams of 40+ employees.

Started my career at SDG Software Technologies which was acquired by 3i Infotech in 2006. I developed, re-designed and managed a low-latency trading terminal for the Capital Markets catering to various stock exchanges in India, Singapore, Indonesia and Turkey. I also did Project Management for adding multi-tenancy to the existing web-based Anti Money Laundering Software (AMLOCK). Responsibilities included Team Handling, Technical Review, Resource Management, Training, Code Optimisation and re-factoring.
